Hi! First off, please excuse my ignorance on all of this. I don’t really have experience with coding or web design, but I’m helping my mom to rebuild the website for her business since it’s very outdated.
The website is currently hosted on godaddy. She wants to 1. transfer the domain here and 2. rebuild the website from scratch using Wix to make it look more modern, but with the same content it currently has.
I have not started designing the website on Wix yet. Do I need to wait until I finish designing the website and THEN do the transfer? So that the url of the website doesnt lead to a half-done web page?
Or if I transfer it, will it keep its layout/design that was made on Godaddy until I finish the new one and then change it to the new layout (and how would I do that, if it’s possible?)
She wants to transfer the domain as soon as possible but I’m not sure if I can do it before finishing building the site or not.
Again, sorry that this is probably a really stupid question. I read through any of the help pages that I thought might be related, but couldn’t find what I’m asking. If what I’m asking is confusing let me know and I can try to rephrase. Any help is greatly appreciated
