Remove my site from google and make it unsearchable

Hi,

I need assistance with removing my Wix site from Google search results. The site is intended for internal use only, and it was never my intention for it to appear online.

Here’s the situation:

  1. I ensured that the “Allow search engines to index this site” option was turned off from the start.
  2. Despite this, the site is still appearing on Google search results, which is affecting my main brand.
  3. As I couldn’t fully hide the site, I’ve since unpublished it and added password protection, but it is still visible in search results.

I would appreciate clear instructions on:

  1. How to completely remove the site and any of its indexed pages from Google.
  2. Steps to prevent search engines from crawling or indexing it in the future.
  3. Any additional measures I should take to ensure this issue doesn’t recur.

Google has its own internal stores, Wix does not control them, all Wix can do is unlist the site, then wait for Google to update the site is unavailable next time it swoops around and checks its availability

Perhaps you could enforce it to happen earlier through the Google Search Console
