Restrict Site Editors

We are a community of writers who will have multiple page editors (up to 10). We want to restrict editors to particular databases where they can load page data that will then appear in repeaters on the linked page, or to the calendar app. With so many editors, we’d like to minimize accidental changes to page design by folks who can load a database, but won’t understand that moving objects on pages will change the site layout. How can we restrict editors?

This isn’t a code related issue, you are best suited going through Wix Support for more help.

In the meanwhile, check out Wix Supports own pages.

Thank you. I agree that Wix should be the source of our fix. However, I opened a ticket and Wix Support replied that the only way to create the restriction is through code and that the Corvid Forum may be a good source of information. Wix Support provided a link to a particular short discussion that gave me some useful information, but did not address this specific issue.

@lanewriters I don’t think your writers need access to the editor at all, you can create a simple dashboard page for them to input data instead and load the data in dynamic pages.

@skmedia Tell me more, David. I have seen the term dynamic page, but haven’t read about them yet. How do they work? It sure would be simpler than code.

You might still need some code depending on what all your needs are, but datasets make submitting and displaying data very easy.
