Rich text new lines not persisting

I am constantly having to edit and add additional new lines or clear and add them back to get the format to persist. Whats going on here? i have a rich input text pox saving to a rich text database field and showing to a paragraph on the front side to users. In this image you can see the issue, on the left is the saved content and on the right the main site. As you can see the new lines simply don’t persist?

Another issue is i have to add additional new lines after the last item else the main page the text short. Whats going on there as well, seems to be related

i should point out this happens when i try add content - it is a timeline of events as you can see so my requirement is to add an element at the top. When doing so all new line characters are lost and i have to reset all of them again even though the data shows there is new lines in the editor!!

Does anyone have suggestions on this - seems like a Wix bug to me

After tracing what happens - an enter inserts a nonbreaking space which is somehow lost. The workaround is to use shift+enter to produce a
tag instead of a nonbreaking space which is not lost. It’s a fudge but it works.
