School sites

I’m researching web platforms for my clients, who are schools. Amongst many other things, they require these features:

• tables (for example, to display timetables or uniform requirements)

• document stores (so that parents can easily download copies of policy documents, newsletters, etc.)

• calendars (to store and display events)

• pop-up modals (to display urgent information, e.g. school closures, etc.)
  Can anyone help me understand how these features may be possible with Editor X?

Some of the features mentioned are available in Editor X, some by Wix directly and some others as Third-Party Apps.

• Tables are currently not available on Editor X and I shall forward that feedback. However, it is possible to create a table using repeaters. https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-creating-tables-using-repeaters

• You are able to upload your own media to display copies of documents on the site. You can see the list of supported media files here .

• There are various third-party calendars on the App Market and some like Google Events have articles on how to add and setup in the event manager. Since you mentioned these are for events, you can use Wix events to add and display your events on the site.

• The pop-up modals are lightboxes and can be added and set to trigger to on pages for announcements.
