The product cards on the “Search results” page cannot be edited. Can’t add corder-radius to images. and not to modify it to look the way you want anyway.
Question: Can I create a “Search results” page with dynamic content? could the wix team please respond.
additional comment: search results is the most important page of the online store, why can’t it be edited? now the search results don’t look the same as the category pages.
@JanneP Finding out about having a search results page with dynamic content. I’ll report back!
Regarding editing the search results page, I know some of the Stores editing options may be limited, so this is definitely something I’ll make note of for the team!
Hi, this feature would be nice to have soon. we create category pages with dynamic content and they look great. these search results are a big problem, because the appearance of the product cards changes, and makes the store look broken.
I noticed the same problem with the shopping cart, it can’t be edited at all.
could the appearance of the shopping cart also be modified with dynamic content? or with a code.
Wix studio’s dynamic content is a great feature. It would be great if website designers could create the Shopping Cart and other shop pages using their own creativity.
I’m guessing this is using the “Site Search” app, right?
I think there’s definitely some great feedback here about providing more customization options for the results.
There are a few options available, but from my knowledge, this is likely going to involve a little bit of code. (If you’re interested in exploring that route).
There are a few NPM packages, like Fuse.js that allow you to perform “fuzzy search”. I’ve done this previously and allows you to get pretty granular with search results.
Or, if you’re interested and happy with how the Site Search finds items, then there are APIs available for you to do the search - Introduction - Velo API Reference - Wix.com - you’d need to then (using Velo) bind the results from the search functions to a repeater, or gallery depending on specifics.
now it’s complicated, wix studio advertises that you can create anything, but you can’t edit the product cards that appear in the search results. this still has a long way to go as a good platform for advertising agencies.
wix studio seems to be similar to “wix” after all: use ready-made themes and broken applications.
And again, I don’t know if you’re a developer, but they’ve released new pricing plans that hinder the development of new projects by creating security loopholes and limiting the number of database views, unheard of (especially when you’re a web agency).
