Set Default Avatar/Choose Avatar

Hi! I’ve seen this question asked a long time ago, but without any definitive answer, and since it’s been such a long time I thought I’d give it another try.

When my users sign up, they choose their age and are directed to the corresponding page. (For example, they click a Young Child image and go to a Young Child dynamic page, they click a Teenager image and they go to a Teenager page, they click an Adult image and they go to an Adult page, etc.) How can I make it so the image they clicked becomes their default profile picture/avatar?

The built-in member profilePhoto field in the Wix Members app collection is read-only, so it is not something you can reliably set from Velo as part of your own signup flow. Wix documents the Members profilePhoto field as read-only and not connectable to data.

There maybe some work arounds, like building a custom avatar system, but nothing to directly change the avatar inside Wix’s default Members Area/profile card.
