Wix image editor had a crop button to mask image into shape. Editor X does not allow for this on the CSS. Can you guys bring it back please? Super useful feature for branding my images according to the brand’s vector shapes. We can’t only have square vector masks. C’mon, Editor X is supposed to be the best. I’m sure you guys can make this happen. #featurerequest. #maskimage #shapecrop #imagecrop

Supporting this request! At the very least, give us an easy “crop to shape” workaround using vector images…
Are you still working on this feature? Seriously I cannot believe Editor X does not have a shape mask for images.
@Adam_Bellgrau Hey! I don’t know if/when image masks would be made available in Editor X, but I do know that it will be released in Studio in the very near future!
Just a reminder, the option to migrate Editor X sites to Studio will happen gradually starting in December. Then, when the migration tool is available to everyone, the option to create new sites in Editor X will close.
This is the news I’ve been looking for! Any updates on a general time image masks will be available? I’m excited for these new features and waiting for a few features like this to migrate my clients over to Wix.
This was one of the many useful features dropped from the Wix product line. May I ask if you scanned the published sites to determine which features are in use before eliminating them?
I had to create an SVG mask with a hexagonal cut-out in the middle just to replicate this. It was painful and time-consuming.
Please don’t take our features away.
I came up with an incredibly clever work-around

I used vector masks with a cutout (e.g. a star or a triangle “missing” from the middle). I overlapped it over the image I was trying to “shape”, and the image showed through the cutout. The rest of the image was covered so it became invisible. Just match the color of the SVG to the background. Look into SVG masks. You can even use the SHAPES in Studio.
