I’m creating a site where the clients can upload documents (mainly pdf). These documents should be consulted and downloaded only by the administrator.
The administrator also can upload documents directed to a specific client. The other clients shouldn’t see these documents.
In brief, is a site to share documents between specific members.
I tried with the Wix File Share App. The only (but great problem!) that it has is that all the clients can see the folders of all the members.
Then, I tried with the apps “Get files to Dropbox” (to upload files) and the “Drop Folder” ( to consult and download files).
In the “File upload” settings I can define the target folder. One possible solution could be to define this folder with Corvid, based on the Client logged? A similar question applies to “Drop Folder”.
If this is not the solution, what could I do?
Please help!
You can’t change settings in Wix apps through using code, if it isn’t accessible already in those Wix apps then you can’t do it.
Here is a similar tutorial that might help you.

@ givemeawhisky : Again you save me! It looks that is what I need! I’ll study it, and if I have problems I’ll comment you. Thank you very much!
With this link I solved ALMOST all my problems. This explain how to work with Images but I need to work with documents in the collection. Until now I learned how to upload the Document (pdf, Excel…) to the collection without problems, But now I have to show the Document in a page, or have in the page a button to download it.
The upload button doesn’t have to be just an image, it can be either an image, document or video for example. Just choose the required file type in the upload button settings.
For download, then that is possible too.

@givemeawhisky Yes, I chose Document in the Upload button, and it worked great. I can see the pdfs in my collection if I open the collection.
But the problem is that I need to display these documents in a page, of it is not possible I have to create a procedure to select one of these documents and download it
The user can either download them or you can let them view them in pdf viewer.
@givemeawhisky But the pdf viewer doesn’t let me choose a document from my collection. Or it does?
The point is that I have the documents in my collection . How I can display them?
Or if there is another better solution like not use the collections to store the documents but use Dropbox, please advice me
Hi All, I have the same situation needed for my site. I have been able to collect documents from specific users but am now stuck on sharing specific files back to specific members and having these files listed and available to download.
Could anyone please lend a hand? Thanks.
