Speed testing a WIX Code Site

So WIX Sites have been hit as slow sites during the years. We have been dealing with this as well. But today we did some hard testing on a new advanced WIX Code site and the results are amazing.

We always use Pingdom Speed Test Tool, not just because it is Swedish but because if your site do good there nobody can complain on you

The below screenshot is from a test on a WIX Code page with a lot of images. There are all around about 100 images and 64 of those images are from a data collection. There are big images in the header with a slider and there is code that connects to data collection and filters out posts and renders around 16 content elements for each group in that page of 16 groups. So a lot of data collection work done.

The performance is way better than their old page with less images, less data work and that page was created in WordPress with some super cache installed and also trimmed.

WIX Code rocks!

Andreas, I really want to see this website. Please, write a link.

The site will go live in a couple of weeks as a huge showcase

Andreas, can you share the url? I am having significant speed issues with my site - www.interiordesign.to - and am looking for ways to speed it up. Currently, I am going back into the editor and compressing every image, even though Wix says that isnโ€™t required.

I would love to see your site and compare it to mine

The site url is https://www.sunlight.se. You should go to tools menu and click to optimze none of images and also disable all page transitions. Helps a lot.

Thanks Andreas.

I disabled the page transitions

I wasnโ€™t optimizing images, but I did go into my Wix Pro Galleries and lowered the image quality. I am going to re-test page loading

Test done - page speed improved from 13s down to 9s on one test and 7s on a repeated test

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it
