@brett-haralson @reinhardts
Hey Brett and reinhardts et al,
Hope everything is going well with you guys. I just wanted to see if I could get a message up the chain to the heads of the dev team.
I am really excited by the last few updates and the potential they’ve added to the platform, but at the same time I’m not too impressed by the lack of stability they’ve introduced. It seems with every single update, not only do we not get a heads up of what to expect in our inboxes (both in terms of upgrades and potential bugs), we also don’t really have a specialized avenue to report these bugs as devs.
I’m certainly OK with some cool stuff being released as BETA, but in order for this to work best, we need to be able to report issues somewhere that isn’t the normal support channels. For now, I’ve been using this experts forum as that resource, but not everyone is eligible to post here and I don’t really think it’s this forum’s intended purpose.
Case in point, Wix’s official support centers are suffering from serious bugs. For right now, if you go on the Corvid forum and try to open a thread in a new tab you get a blank page. If you do it on this forum, you get a 404.
I just hope that we get some hiatus from all the new stuff to stabilize what we already have, and that debugging issues with the platform becomes a formalized experience.
I hope you will agree,
David

Good points - and thanks for your feedback. This forum is multi-tracked, so a lot of what you want to say here is really acceptable.
It isn’t intended to be a support forum, no, but it’s a great place for PMs to learn what the community is saying / needing.
Hey David, I have to agree with you on this one, and it’s in the best interest of Wix that i say this.
You are right, i have had a few SERIOUS issues with my sites in relation to Wix Code (Corvid). Now here is the problem:
The Support team have no idea what to do when it comes to Wix Code (Corvid) - even when the issue is with Wix and not the developer who is writing the code, they just say they don’t support Wix Code (Corvid) because the code is written by the developer of the site and not Wix. They are missing the point…
Wix Code (Corvid) provides more than just an IDE…it provides the User Inputs, Repeaters, Handles Panel, Hide/Collapse Panel and more.
There absolutely needs to be a specialised support section for big sites and hardcore developers to speak to the team regarding these issues.
The Wix Code (Corvid) forum is hand-picked to which ones get replied to, which really annoys me, because whilst they may reply to someone asking how to hook up a piece of code, i am waiting for a response to mine about repeaters not showing the content on the live site.
I called Wix Support a couple of weeks ago with a Wix Code (Corvid) issue and the guy (no disrespect to him) didn’t know what i was talking about when i said he needed to access the database collections on the dashboard of my site (business manager section). I was on the phone and put on hold more than i was speaking to someone.
Whilst i know this is a new product and it’s going to get better, we simply need a more robust support section for Corvid (at least).
Note: I am not complaining, i am just trying to help and provide valuable feedback.
Hi @skmedia and @roberthamilton . I echo what Brett said about continuing to report these issues on this forum. We are reviewing it all the time and can pass along feedback to the appropriate Wix teams. Adding additional Corvid support is definitely a priority for us. I don’t have any detailed update on that now, but it’s something we are working to address. I am going to include your feedback with research that I am doing for the product managers of Corvid.
Thank you so much for listening @reinhardts - we appreciate it.
@brett Thanks Brett, and thank you for making this the easiest forum to get feedback and report issues.
Thanks reinhardts. I appreciate what you guys do on this forum a lot, and all I want is for that to be carried over a little bit better to anyone who doesn’t have access to this forum. I think having specific recourses for Corvid would really help with that.
Thanks Robert,
I’m more than willing to fix stuff myself, but when parts of the platform are flat-out unresponsive, any developer needs a reliable place to inform the devs.
