Lynda actually gives you the design files and code you need to create nice interactive elements. Follow along step by step super easy. However, it’s all useless for Wix websites. The video tutorials are great.
Corvid support threads are a total headache and one big coding mess. Example
Many of us do not know code at all. I like how you’re implementing custom code which is fantastic but an amateur designer and coding/developer are 2 totally different worlds.
Hire an expert? Why? We don’t give you enough money already? Premium plan members should be able to have this option for free. Or if they’re that talented, then add an extra small fee to our annual subscriptions.
Wix really needs to be on top of latest trends and interactive elements that make our work stand out. We’re not all coding masters. I enjoy Wix, don’t get me wrong but for the money I’m paying, at least put a little creativity in the “templates” they’re all exactly the same and very cookie-cutter. I check out the “NEW” templates and they’re exactly the same as the previous “NEW” templates. Some color changes here and there but all parallax same ol same ol.
Lastly, why is there so many posts from customers that go unanswered and have zero replies? It’s similar to a gaming Mod Author. If a MA makes a mod for a game and there are issues, the MA helps you out and works with you (most of time). If you’re implementing something, then help us. There seems to be a major lack in any human to human connection. If you’re lucky enough to get a reply, 9x out of 10 it’s someone throwing you a link. In other words, go figure it out unless you want to hire an expert.
Or do you wish for Wix to stop what they are doing and put all their resources into making a lot of brand new templates and tutorials and examples and classroom files?
So basically you are wanting Wix to have a detailed walkthrough tutorial as well as a detailed walkthrough video for each and every tutorial they ever put out?
In simple terms you are really wanting something near enough to a 1-on-1 session through a tutorial so that you can get everything done for free without having to pay anything for it or with the need to go asking for help.
The example that you picked out for starters is for the Wix Blog and is the Posts Collection for that Wix app. Currently the Wix Blog app is in the early stages of being integrated with Wix Corvid, hence the reason why that Collection page is only showing the fields and how you can use them and which is all clearly laid out so users can see what they can or can’t do with each field.
It is the same with the Wix Forum still mainly being a Wix app and limited to what we can do with code for example.
Why did you not pick an example that Wix have fully integrated into Wix Corvid and fully show how to utilise it within your site?
As for tutorials and examples, if you can’t find what you want, then simply Google search it (other search engines can be used!) and you will most likely find one or more examples from Wix experts on their own site or youtube video which you can use.
Like Heath states above, you can go to the previous form post and leave your posts there, or if you are in such a demand for change you can telephone Wix themselves and ask them to stop everything and do it for you. https://support.wix.com/en/article/contacting-wix-by-phone-3491545
Why not ask to personally speak to Avishai Abrahami and see if you can discuss it with him and get him to change it to suit yourself…
Why hire people (that don’t work for Wix, btw)? I don’t wanna spend more money…
…ha
Not to mention the fact that Corvid exists is one of Wix’s biggest advantages over its dumbed-down competitors like WP. Because Wix acknowledges that they can’t anticipate/cater to your every need, they give you a specialized set of tools to do so much more.
That way you have the option of doing it much faster than you would by having to scour through all of the MDN Webdocs and learning about JS, thus saving yourself some time/money. Your link is just a list of permissions - there’s not an ounce of code there.
