Text site - does it stay up indefinitely if not released?

I’d like to set up a test site for one of my clients (Wix Studio Editor) to do ongoing testing, basically a copy of the site as a staging environment. Can I use a test site for this type of scenario ? If so, I assume the test site can stay up indefinitely, right ? Or does it need to be released within a certain period of time ?

Have read through forum posts and don’t see this covered, but if so pls point me there.

You might find the following article helpful regarding that matter. I tried it myself, and it seems that once a test site is created, it will likely remain as is. However, I’m not sure if multiple versions can be maintained. It’s probably limited to keeping only the most recent version.
