The “Filter by” feature in Wix Stores just isn't practical. Are there any workarounds?

I’m having trouble with the filter by function in wix stores

I need to create a store for a little shop that sells second hand cameras. Users should be able to filter cameras based on a vast range of various technical specifications like “lens mounts”, “camera formats”, “year of production”. Just a lot of topics with a lot of various values that need constant (ideally automatic) updating.

With wix studio there are only two ways to do something like that:

  1. manually create categorys and manually create filters in the editor:
Each time you add a value like a new lens mount f.e. “M-Mount” the customer would first need to create this value as a new category and then go to the product page / settings / and there he’d need to add this specific value as a new filter. Since every single one of the customers product is one of a kind he would need to constantly do this for a huge amount of values.
  2. product options:
This way seems a bit smarter but since every camera is one of a kind, it also doesn’t seem to be the proper use of the “product options” feature, since you really dont have an actual option. But if you add Properties this way, they at least automatically update to the shops filter system. But the problem i have is that it would create a huge ugly list of product options that just doesn’t really look professional in the shop since it takes up so much space above the “add to cart” button. (screenshot attached). since you also cannot change the order of the elements in the shop, this would be a huge trade of in visual clarity for the shop.

Can anyone relate to this problem? Why can’t wix just offer something like "technical specifications, which would create automatic filters, but at the same time would be hidden away below the product images on the product page.
