The company rebranded and we’re using the same website, however, it’s showing up with the old name in Google search results, even though I’ve already changed the website name in the settings. Does anyone know how to fix this?
SEO settings work more like “indicators” for search engines to say “Hey, this is what we would like to be included in search results” - and then it’s up to the search engine to pick and choose what is display in search results.
I’d recommend reviewing your SEO settings to ensure everything is what you want - Customizing Your SEO Settings | Help Center | Wix.com - following that, submit a request via Google Search Console to crawl your site.
After it’s done that, it may take a while to see anything reflected - since it’s up to Google to decide when it changes
