We had new SEO copy for a client’s site, written to fit the existing design.
Normally that’s a long session of pasting text in section by section and reconnecting links.
This time I opened the site in Content Mode and asked Claude, working in my browser, to put each piece of copy in place and connect the links. It did the lot.
Why Content Mode is the right place for it
- It only lets you change text and media, so the layout and design stay out of reach. The AI can’t break a breakpoint even if it tries.
- There’s far less on screen, so there’s less for the AI to get distracted by.
How to open it
From the site dashboard, use the arrow next to Edit Site. From the full editor, click the Wix Studio icon, then Site, then Open in Content Mode. Wix’s guide: Studio Editor: Understanding How Clients Edit Their Site | Help Center | Wix.com
What I’d still do
Check every page yourself before you publish. Content Mode protects the design, not the words.
It’s one experiment so far, so I’ll share a proper walkthrough once I’ve done a few more.
Has anyone else let AI work inside Content Mode? I’m curious where you’d draw the line.
