I’ve been trying to do this for the last 2 days but I get a message saying ‘technical error at the Wix end’ or words to that effect. I would be grateful for any ideas or clues on why this . Wix say they are trying to deal with it, but no joy yet.

Hi, @homeenglishuk . It’s been six months or so since I did this, so things may have changed, but…
At the time I did this, it wasn’t possible to transfer a traditional Wix Premium plan over to Editor X using system tools. It was necessary for me to (1) purchase a new Premium plan for Editor X and (2) then get a credit (with the help of support) for the value remaining on the Wix site.
Interesting…thank you. I was thinking that Editor x’s plan most comparable to wix’s would be more expensive as there seem to be more advanced features on the Editor x than the normal Wix site. But then you would think that the support guys at Wix would know how to action the transfer. Anyway, I’ll keep badgering them till it gets sorted. Thanks again. Dave
@homeenglishuk FWIW, I think that – at the time I did it – transitioning a site from Wix to Editor X wasn’t a common occurrence, and so the support people didn’t have experience doing it. The support guy I worked with was just persistent in figuring that out and determining how it could be done. It was clearly an improvised solution.
Maybe it would help if you suggested that solution.
It may still be the case that it’s an unfamiliar process. The other sites I’ve transitioned I did at the same time the plans renewed, so I could just let the Wix plan die while buying a new Editor X plan.
