Trying to connect CMS Gallery to links to product pages when photo is clicked

Can you open a CMS page from a gallery?

I have a gallery connected to a CMS databse. Each item in that database has a link associated with it that goes to its product page. I wanted it to work so that if someone clicks on the photo, they are taken to the product page but I can’t see a way to connect the CMS data to the click function.

Is it a case of making a repeater with an invisible button rather than using a gallery?

Could you please describe your needs in more detail?
Are your gallery items redirecting to the product page currently or is that what you want to achieve?

First you have to fix the gallery settings so that on click it opens a link.

Then via the dataset connection you set the link to the correct URL field in your database.

Hi Both,

I’ve had another look this morning and I can see the URL option when I open the gallery now. I was convinced it wasn’t there so I think I can do what I intended. I am working on this all day today so if I come up against the same problem again, I will get some screenshots and show you what the problem is.
