I’m Using Wix Studio.
I am setting up a new company website on Wix and need to set up several 301 Redirects. Before I did this, I updated the URL slug for several pages so they are correct from an SEO perspective.
When I attempt to set a URL Redirect the options only give the old (or original) page URL slug. For example, my “Contact” page is showing as /blank-3 even though the slug has been updated to /contact
I’ve attempted to resolve this via the chat which gets escalated but there’s no resolution (they have committed on several occasions to get back via email but do not).
My website has not been published ‘live’ yet as we want to ensure the redirects are working properly.
Does anybody know if this problem will resolve itself when the website is fully published and linked to a domain? I’m concerned about going live and having a number of pages from our old site unable to resolve correctly. It appears as though the admin panel for URL Redirects is using the original slug for a page only - if you update it, the data isn’t being pulled back correctly (which means Wix has a table in the back end somewhere to store the change log of the url slugs.
Anybody got any advice?
