Who’s had to jump on a call with a client to walk them through purchasing a Wix Premium plan, or purchased a Premium plan on their behalf?
We’re making the upgrade experience smoother with a new capability that allows you to send clients a payment link, via email or a direct link, requesting purchase of their Wix Premium plan.
From the upgrade page, simply select a Premium plan and billing cycle and choose the client you want to send the payment request to, rather than purchasing it yourself. The client receiving the link can review the plan and complete the upgrade.
This capability is available exclusively to Wix Studio, but requests can be created to charge for Premium plans on sites created with both Wix and Studio.
Note: this feature is currently rolling out to all Studio creators. If you don’t see it yet, it’ll become available in the coming weeks.

This is perf!!
But! Can we perhaps look into including a subject and message component to the payment request? As it won’t require any follow up email and will make sure it sticks out.
Amazing feature! My only concern would be around our creator points. Would we still receive the 300 points per premium websites developed or would this be lowered to the 100 points as a contributor?
This is Gold!!! We often buy the hosting and then send an invoice. i would much rather do it this was. Does this tie the hosting to their credit card permanently for renewals too? It’s tough keeping track of renewals. We do use recurring billing but I have some customers that insist on sending a check so putting responsibility on them gets me out of the waiting for a check. I would rather just sell more maintenance plans (which we sell a lot of)
That’s a great question I would like the answer too also. I still get points when I am not an owner, but still tied to the site as website manager or co-owner.
