Vertical Section in Editor X

Starting a new site, I look for a way to delete the section that was created when I created a new site. Not finding a delete button, I used cut to remove it. Clicking on the + button on the right creates a ”Vertical Section”. This ”Vertical Section” is automatically set to zero for some reason. All you can see is a line with a + on both the left and the right and it’s locked to the top. So I thought I would set the height to 500px. I cannot do this as the Height is grayed out. If this could be overwritten I think it work. When you scroll over the height setting it say’s “Vertical Section height is always set to Auto.”

Hey @Kevin_Tunis!

A vertical section is designed to take up the full height of the page and to sit alongside all of the horizontal sections. So, you could have 3 horizontal sections, but they would all have 1 vertical section down the side of them.

I think this article explains the type of section you’re looking for in order to build the layout you need - Structuring a site in Editor X | Help Center | Wix.com

Are there any video tutorials on the “vertical section”? I started with a “vertical section” for a sidebar for the logo, menu, social bar, and copy write, but this is not Mobile-Responsive. I want the sidebar on the desktop and not on the tablet or mobile. What I want for the tablet and mobile is a top menu.
