Just wondering if anyone is experiencing loss of quality with uploaded videos on Editor X live website?
Seems that’s the case with my example where video remains crisp in terms of quality after reloading page for a very brief moment. After that it get’s compressed and quality loss is very visible.
Asking in case anyone has experienced this or knows how to solve it. Have contacted Editor X support with no success.
Hi Baghead,
I came across your question. I have a similar issue, maybe worse and thought I could reach out for help. I am recording a video of my Figma prototype with Quick time Player on Macbook. The video looks ok, but once uploaded in Editor X it is very blurry and looks low quality. Resolution is 2k+. Is there anything you can share with me to help me solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Best
Mara
I submitted a ticket but I still have the same problem. The answer is confusing, they are not offering any solution. The format is mp4 and I tried different sizes: 480p, 720p, 1080p and different MB - from 9 to 52 MB. Videos still look blurry, I really don’t know how to go on with my portfolio.
This is the ticket number: 1847934900
Any little help is much appreciated.
Thank you
I am experiencing the same issue. I tried uploading mp4, mov and even a 4K version of the video. It always loses the sharpness.
Is there a solution or work around?
I know Wix compresses all media types for faster download. I am thinking the compression is the cause for the loss. In which case is there an option to not to have the video file compressed by default?
Thanks.
i had the same problem and tried many formats but no luck. Was going through on internet and found an article on how to imrove [Blurry] photos.

Check Video Format and Settings: Ensure that the video file you’re uploading is in a format and resolution supported by Editor X. Sometimes, using a higher quality video format (e.g., MP4 with H.264 codec) and ensuring the video resolution is optimized for web playback can help mitigate quality loss.
Optimize Video Before Uploading: Before uploading your video, consider using video editing software to compress and optimize it. Aim for a balance between quality and file size to ensure that the video maintains its quality even after platform compression.
Review Platform Settings: Sometimes, video quality settings within the platform can affect playback. Check Editor X’s video settings or documentation to see if there are options to adjust video quality or streaming settings.
Use a Video Hosting Service: If quality loss persists, consider using an external video hosting service like Vimeo or YouTube. You can embed the hosted video on your Editor X site. These services often handle video quality better and offer better playback options.
Update and Recheck Browser/Cache: Occasionally, the issue might be related to browser cache or updates. Try clearing your browser cache or testing the video on different browsers and devices to see if the quality issue persists. Follow
I had the same problem when uploading my product videos related to gym accessories. I tried the steps you mentioned, like ensuring the video format and resolution were supported by Editor X, which did help a bit, but leather weight lifting straps the video is not being optimized even I tried. I also optimized the video before uploading to balance quality and file size. I reviewed the platform settings to check for any options to adjust video quality. Finally, I considered using an external hosting service like Vimeo, and even cleared my browser cache, which resulted in a little bit of improvement in video quality. Anyways, thanks for the help, mate.
I followed all the suggested steps to resolve the issue, and while the majority of the problem is fixed, I’m still encountering a frustrating error on a specific page related to Knee Sleeves. When this particular page loads, the font momentarily swaps out, and the layout shifts noticeably before stabilizing. These shifts make the page look unprofessional and affect the overall user experience. I’m not entirely sure whether this is happening because of the images on the page or if it’s something to do with Core Web Vitals, but it’s clear that the issue needs to be addressed. The inconsistent layout is not user-friendly, and I’m concerned it might be driving visitors away. I’d really appreciate any guidance on how to fix these layout shifts and make the page load smoothly. Any help or advice from someone who’s dealt with similar issues would be incredibly helpful.
Thank you:blush:
