Google search console has informed me that my “viewport is not set” and in other words, that means my site doesn’t alter for different screen sizes and google had prevented my site from indexing. Super important to my business…
I’ve built several other sites on wix over the years and have not had this problem… Anyone know whats going on?
I’ve never had that issue on any sites and Google Search Console runs fine on them all with no errors.
For starters, have you used the mobile editor of your site and adjusted the website to suit mobile devices as well and not just simply shrunk everything to fit onto a mobile device from the desktop editor version?
Use the mobile editor to make your website all mobile friendly and you shouldn’t get this issue happening.

Everything in this report matters. Mobile optimization is a significant ranking factor, and your website needs to be totally up to par.

To use it, simply enter the full URL of your website and you don’t need to add an email address, just click on get your results after you have added your website.
Click off the lightbox that appears after the checking and you will see your results, simply scroll down the page to see if your site has it’s viewport set up correctly, here it is for a site of mine from Wix.
All I do with my websites through Wix is to make sure that the website is added to my Google Search Console and my SEO is all done through Wix and I have used both the desktop and the mobile editor for my website and I never have any viewport issues at all.
