Hello i’m using Vimeo to store my video and display them on my site. I looked at WixVideo but it doesn’t fit my needs.

Vimeo used to have a privacy setting “Hide from Vimeo” but they are replacing it with a Private setting where I can add the domain name where the videos can be watched.

I tried it but I’m always getting
"Error: “https://vimeo.com/XXXXXXXXX” was not found. at XMLHttpRequest.o.onload (https://player.vimeo.com/api/player.js:2:7929)"

I presume that I need to add a specific domain to wix that verify if the video is available before rendering the page, is there a way to get this information? I tried wix.com but it doesn’t work.

The option “Hide from vimeo” is still available from few place in vimeo, but I can’t set it as a default parameter, neither change it on a video. So I fear that they completely remove this setting soon, which will let me the only option to put my video public which is not an option.

I found the problem, when you switch from public to private on vimeo, they add a suffix to the address, using the new address it works.

How did you solve it? I still can’t add “hide on Vimeo” videos. Only public.
