Website header refuses to go below a certain size

Is there a minimum header size? Everywhere I’ve read that it can be as small or as large as desired, but I am hitting a minimum size for some reason.

Is there a minimum? Or if not, any ideas why I might be stuck?

I’m using Wix Editor

I am trying to have a smaller header, but the drag handle stops at 54 pixels.

I already emptied the header of any elements that may have been blocking it at 54 pixels.
I have already tested the header size on some of my other sizes (using Wix Editor) - They also seem to not want me to go less than 54 pixels.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

You’re right, Wix Editor doesn’t seem to have an officially documented minimum header size. However, you’ve encountered a limitation at 54 pixels. Here are some possibilities and solutions:

  1. Hidden Element: Double-check the header for any hidden elements that might be causing the minimum size restriction. Sometimes, even hidden elements can define the minimum space a section occupies. Try using the “Arrange” menu and selecting “Show Hidden Elements” to see if anything pops up.

  2. Mobile View Quirks: While Wix allows independent editing for mobile and desktop views, sometimes changes on mobile can affect the desktop view. Try checking your mobile header settings and ensure they aren’t influencing the minimum size on desktop.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply and make those suggestions.
Regrettably looking into these things has still not solved my issue.

Best wishes,
Andrew

I had this same issue. Check that an item isn’t in a negative position. e.g. -2px.
Once I updated it to 0, it resolved. It did take 30min to get to this solution!
