Website header refuses to go below a certain size

Is there a minimum header size? Everywhere I’ve read that it can be as small or as large as desired, but I am hitting a minimum size for some reason.

Is there a minimum? Or if not, any ideas why I might be stuck?

I’m using Wix Editor

I am trying to have a smaller header, but the drag handle stops at 54 pixels.

I already emptied the header of any elements that may have been blocking it at 54 pixels.
I have already tested the header size on some of my other sizes (using Wix Editor) - They also seem to not want me to go less than 54 pixels.

Regrettably looking into these things has still not solved my issue.

I had this same issue. Check that an item isn’t in a negative position. e.g. -2px.
Once I updated it to 0, it resolved. It did take 30min to get to this solution!

Codes and scripting is way over my head, this is how I did it: to apply a script, go to Dashboard > Settings > Custom Code > Add custom code under the Head section. I copied in the code and tweaked the numbers in the code until I was happy (38px for me).
Note for whatever reason this won’t show up in the site editor, so site editing and preview still has the enlarged header, but it displays correctly when I publish & view site that way.

Today randomly my header and doubled in size and lost its background. I used to have my header smaller, but it would refuse to shrink past 54px, like you, I deleted everything in the header, still not budging past 54. Wix phone support spent 30+ mins and couldn’t solve it either.

Hope Wix fixes this soon.
