Website roles and permissions

I have a website which I am Owner of and I have added a few people to contribute towards it. I handle the billings and domains, so have turned this off under the manage role section. Essentially, they are Co-Owners of the site, but with billing and domains, and Velo turned off.

However, when they head to their dashboard and go to settings the following settings are greyed out (which I don’t want) is there any way that I can change it, because I can’t see how to do it for the life of me.

Notifications you send (I want them to deal with this, but they are unable to)
Notifications you get (I don’t want to receive any notifications, but they do)
Mobile app for members (I don’t deal with this. They do)

Any help would be appreciated

Essentially, I handle the domain, billing and code, and they do everything else. They do not want to have access to any of this stuff so the easiest way is for me to remain owner.

Hi Noah,

Currently, one of the limitations of custom roles is the inability of managing the notifications.

I understand the importance of this feature and will be forwarding your feedback to our product team!

Cheers Randy. That’s great to hear. I really hope this gets implemented. I’ll probably continue using the method I do, but hoping this feature will come so I can use it. Thanks :facepunch:

This is a BIG issue./ learned the hard way. Transfer site first before adding on paid plans like email, phone, & hosting.

Important:

  • Sites that are upgraded with Premium plans paid for with recurring invoices cannot be transferred. To transfer the site, you need to cancel the recurring invoice.

  • You can only transfer site ownership to one user at a time. If you initiate a second transfer before the first has ended, the first one will be canceled.

  • It is not possible to transfer a site that has a business phone number or Facebook ads associated with it . To cancel these services, turn off auto renewal and wait for the service to expire. Once it’s expired, you’ll be able to transfer the site.

  • It is not possible to transfer a site that has a partner package plan assigned to it. You must first unassign the plan before you can transfer the site.

  • Wix Blog: After you transfer a site, editing existing blog posts will not be possible. You can, however, edit new posts. You will also still be able to turn commenting on and off for existing posts, feature existing posts, and delete posts created before the transfer.
Note: Though blog posts will appear on your live site, they will not appear in the Post Manager.
