What determines if "Place in a container" option is available?

There is no documentainion around this and to me it just seems to happen in random instances. Not ground breaking but can be frostating to manually add one.

So basically i have two elements both selected but instead of the option to “Place in a container”, I get “Group” when both are selected or absulute nothing if only one element is selected.

Is there any devs that know why is this happening, is it a bug? Is it intented? If yes then where is the documentation explaining how it gets trigered?

Obvisously there is nothing in the “Three dots menu”

Make sure the two elements are in the same section/section, and that one isn’t in another section/container or already part of another group.

I can comfirn they are not part of any other container, and they are under the same section inside the same element. What you see above is a stack with all of the elements isnide it.

Then add a container to the layout and divide into two columns or two rows, then add each element into the container and work with the inspector to place them where you need them.

I’ve mentioned that this is a viable option yes.

My question is refaired towards the devs or someone that has contact with the dev team to look up the bug or add the documentation as to why this happens.

When this happens to me, I check

  1. Relative placement of elements on the page

  2. Whether or not the element is containable or not

Often I just rebuild the layout to accomodate the incoming objects before I add them to the layout.

Good luck!
