What does the app do for you?

I’m interested to see how many people make use of the mobile app. It confuses me - is it built for website builders or for site owners? I am both and I find it frustrating. I’ve recommended it to clients when I’ve handed over their sites to them and they hate using it. I feel there should be two apps for the separate sectors, so that you have the option of using what you actually need instead of wading through a plethora of unnecessary functions. Thoughts?

The Wix Mobile App adapts to the type of site you’re building. For example, if you have Wix Stores installed on the site, you’ll be able to track inventory and manage orders on the app.

Here’s a great overview of what the app can do based on the type of site that you’re working on. It’s a great way for you to manage the site if you’re providing a maintenance package to your clients, or as a handoff tool for your clients to manage their business moving forward.

Thanks, Sheyla.

Interesting overview but I wouldn’t say the app ‘adapts’ - whichever sector you work in, you’re still faced with a plethora of additional tools that are redundant to your site sector and tasks. It’s just a mess of options. If I can’t get my clients to use it and I’m certainly not keen myself, something must be wrong.

Maybe there should be a separate mobile app for each Wix Business solution (Wix Hotels, etc.)? That way you can focus on the tools you need, not be confused by what you don’t?

Perhaps I need to watch a training vid on the app portion of Wix, but yes - I’m befuddled as to how to use it… and whether it’s just an app for me (the developer) or customers as well. The one thing that it is handy for is managing store product - a quick price change or inventory count. But that’s all I use it for. Too confusing otherwise.
