Who developed Editor X?

I heard from live Internet content that Editor X was developed by someone other than Wix and then acquired by Wix.com.
Is that true?
I thought Editor X was a platform developed by Wix.com from the beginning.

while contacting Customer Care, users may contact Wix Stores, Editor X, ADI team members, but everyone will be the part of Wix Customer Care team.
So, it is a different field of knowledge and departments, but the company is the same. As per my experience, sometimes, it could confuse our customers a bit, so I hope our conversation will be the nice reference for this sort of questions :wink:
