Why aren't cancelled or rescheduled Wix Bookings being removed from Apple Calendar?

I’ve set up Wix Bookings and connected it to my Apple Calendar using the calendar sync feature. Most of the sync works correctly, but I’m having a problem when clients reschedule or cancel appointments.

When a client reschedules, Wix correctly updates the appointment in the Wix dashboard and creates the new appointment in my Apple Calendar. However, the original appointment remains in my Apple Calendar instead of being removed or updated, so I end up with both the old and new bookings showing which is confusing.

I’ve already tried:

  • Re-syncing the calendar

  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the calendar integration

  • Checking Apple Calendar settings

  • Checking Zoom sync settings

Nothing seems to remove the original calendar event. According to Wix documentation, I thought the old event should be automatically updated or removed when a booking is rescheduled.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a limitation of the Apple Calendar sync, or is there a setting I’m missing?
