Hi Omid, love your enthusiasm. We were re-thinking few events to be able to do this more scalable. I can share more on private if you want. It will be out soon.

Please do Kobi, just ask around, folks have my contact info at Wix since I am such a dogged headache for everyone there who does things lol  don’t wanna post publicly and this forum ā€œappā€ has no way to pm members from my side anyway…

Is the beta open to test Wix Bookings conversion tracking yet?

Any update here?

@chris matter of days, sorry for this delay

Hi @kobi-gamliel please can you include me on the beta invites - I’m desperate for this too. Thanks

Enhanced Ecom Analytics for Booking Business events is live, let me know if you have questions

Hi,
For the entire people of this amazing thread. We’ve rolling out Booking Business Events in Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. If you have Google Analytics you need to enable enhance ecom tracking from the GA admin panel for the facebook pixel it’s already fired the events. All events are available as well as Data Layer in Google Tag Manager. We’ll be happy to get your feedback

Excellent! Can you walk us through the steps needed to set this up? I looked around in Wix Bookings and didn’t see any changes in the interface there, nor did I see any in the Tracking & Analytics area.

I updated my GTM UA variable as such . Is that correct?

Is there a way to see what data layer variables are being created without completing a bunch of test submissions?

Hi,
All you need to do is simple, add your Google Analytics ID through Marketing Tools > Marketing Integrations. Once you connected enable the Ecom Setting in Analytics use this help article to learn how:
https://support.wix.com/en/article/enabling-enhanced-ecommerce-for-a-view-in-google-analytics

I see there are two places to add tracking codes: in the website builder and in the marketing & integrations tab:

I’ve turned off the former to avoid duplicate measurements. Am I thinking about that correctly?

Will bookings conversion tracking data be fed into Facebook’s pixel and GTM? If so, how? I’d like to use more than just Google Analytics with this.

@chris-3 Hi, it’s the same. Two different entry point for the same action. Of course all events are fired both to facebook and Google Tag Manager

@kobi-gamliel Hi, I’m still not 100% clear on this. What’s the mechanism for the events being sent to Facebook and GTM? Is it the data layer in the latter? Want to make sure I’m picking them up correctly.

@chris-3 So I’ll try to explain: If you’re using Wix Booking / Wix Stores / Wix Restaurant or Wix Contact Form and connect one of the services (GTM / GA / FB) all the business events are send automatically without doing anything. If you want to create your custom code event via Wix code you can use trackEvent function in wixWindow and decide rather you want to send the custom event to all sources or only one. I hope it’s clearer. The best way is just to connect Google Analytics and see the events coming

@kobi-gamliel What do you mean ā€œsentā€ to GTM? It would make sense to me if it fires a data layer event. In that case, do you have a list of data layer events and their specific formatting so I can pick them up in GTM and use them as triggers?

@chris-3 GTM=Google Tag Manager. All Wix vertical business event are send automatically as a data layer to GTM so you can use them as triggers

@kobi-gamliel Where can I see the list of data layer events that will be sent? I know I could do it by using something like Data Slayer or GTM preview while completing the bookings, but then I’d have to pay for the booking!

For everyone having trouble with this:

Here are the custom events that I tracked from Wix since Friday. There may be more, but I can’t find documentation of it anywhere.

Unclear what several of these events are, but it looks like ā€œpurchaseā€ can be used to track people who complete the check out process. I’m guessing ā€œcheckoutā€ would be people who started the checkout process.

Good luck!
