Question:
Over the last few months, it seems like Wix has changed the format of the automation email that gets sent out when someone submits a form on your website. Is there a way to revert to the old format of the email? (Images included for reference)
Product:
The parent page in on Editor X.
What are you trying to achieve:
I’m trying to remove all the added information (the form’s name) from the email’s body to go back to how it used to look. It’s causing a lot of difficulty in parsing the information and makes it a lot more complicated.
Yes, you can revert to the old email format in Wix Automations by customizing the email template. Go to Customer Management > Automations, find the automation triggered by form submissions, and edit the email action. Instead of using the dynamic “Form Submission Data”, manually insert only the relevant form fields (e.g., Name, Email, Phone) using dynamic values in the email editor. If Wix does not allow fine-tuned customization, an alternative is using Zapier or Make (Integromat) to format the email content exactly as before and send it via Gmail, Outlook, or another email service.
