Wix Editor & Editor X May Be Buggy?

I’ve been working on my website for over 3 months now. I have one site launched and I was redesigning it in the regular Wix editor where I was having a ton of issues with bugs that caused things to be misaligned, out of place, out of shape, etc. I would fix these things but they just keep happening.

Then I discovered Editor X. So I decided to switch. Upon building my entire 9-page site. I discovered the only breakpoint that was good was the desktop. Ok fine, that’s my bad oops lol So I just tossed most of the site out because I’m not going to try and figure out the settings on that puzzle lol. Now I’ve got three pages completely done, settings are right, all breakpoints are perfect. Accept I noticed that things have changed themselves.

  1. Meaning, in repeaters the fonts are bigger, and cant be changed back to the right size plus editing one repeater no longer affects the other pieces in the repeater, I go back and fix these issues by putting in even more work hours only to have it happen again and again.

  2. Images are bigger or out of shape.

  3. Spacing between objects/items is either right on each other or way too far from each other forcing me to change the margins again.

These things happen over and over again like walking in a never-ending circle in a dream. I have spent the last three months of my time with the regular editor and editor x. I have put back-to-back 16 hour days studying, learning, designing, and developing my site.

I’m a team player I really don’t like complaining about anything so this is not a complaint. I simply want to bring this to anyone’s attention who cares and can help do something about it.

I do not have time to sit and wait and wait. My business/website needed this upgrade as of the first of 2022 which is when the new site was supposed to be launched. I have been on phone support a good 15-20 times in the last three months, screen shared with them, and have had these buggy situations recorded by Wix support. They have submitted the videos to a different team.

By the way, Wix support has made the biggest turnaround I have ever seen in any company and they are amazing! 5 Stars for Wix support from America. I am very thankful to have them for support. Everyone I have talked to has been 5 stars. I’ve been a Wix user for many years. The change is real!

Anyways, I’m not looking for any handouts. I want nothing but my site to be completed and working properly. At this point, I can’t see this happening for me without a dedicated Wix Editor X support member by my side every step of the way. I need a person who can get familiar with my site and the issues it’s having, who can record our sessions and send it off to the right Wix team for evaluation. I can not continue to build this site without dedicated direct help. I’m willing to help and make discoveries with and for Wix. Ask any of the Wix Support team that I have been in touch with how patient I’ve been through all of this. Let’s use my site to help Wix figure these things out and in turn, my site gets completed and working properly. I am willing to put mad hours in and work side by side with a Wix Editor X team member to help Wix figure these bugs out with a real-world website. My business depends on my Wix website and right now my Wix website is outdated and on standby. Time is of the essence. Please have someone contact me with answers to my suggestions and requests.

It’s not only you having the same issue. Instead of taking care of our business we have to solve problems caused by EditorX quality issues. This isn’t right is causing too much time/costs.

There is no single day with new roadblocks and unbelievable issues when working with EditorX. There are so many different levels of problems that I started a series of open letters to the management.

So 4 months later and these problems still persist. I really want to love EditorX but the bugs are making it tough. Was there any resolution to the above?

Editor X is a mess. It has been out for over 2 years now and there is no excuse for how glitchy it is. I often find myself having to completely change my entire website because of these annoying bugs. Also, why have you put so much emphasis on broken, advanced features instead of just adding the basics like a navigation button for a repeater? Because of this I’m moving to Webflow; a platform that actually works.

It’s a shame because Editor X has great potential but it is too frustrating to use. No matter what device I use Editor X runs like it was made in 2008 and doesn’t ever do what you want it to. The sliders are awful and so are the light boxes. I’m so glad I’m moving to something better now.

Hello My name is Joseph Sack with www.smarttechsolutionllc.com I am a developer of this domain and have been experiencing major bugs in the editor. For example when I create a brand-new “menu page” it will also edit my home page even though I’m not editing my home page. Is there anyway I could get this issue resolved or have somebody you can put me directly in contact about this. I pay a monthly premium and do not want to take further action and go different routes as I have filed numerous of complaints about other bugs I have experienced in the past.

We got 3500 urls on our website. You can’t imagine the bugs on our website. many small that makes us not use a certain feature or look for an alternative, other small still there and months further no solution, a very big annoying ones making us lose money with still no solution for them. Most occur out of the blue with new updates. Most known are the collection, created a complete mess for us.

I am currently testing Webflow to compare. No ones wants to move away to recreate it elsewhere but if there is no way out of this at least I ll have all prepared.
