Wix Editor update to Wix Studio

I have an older site that is like to use the new studio features.

  1. Do I update to editor x and then update to studio? Or would the editor x be able to use the studio features
  2. Would there be any formatting issues or compatibility concerns when I upgrade to editor X?

You can use Editor X instead of Wix Studio. Wix Studio is currently in BETA only some users have access to Wix Studio and there is no way to upgrade to Wix Studio from Classic Editor.

But features between Editor X and Wix Studio is quite similar and there are not a lot of difference between each editor. Wix Studio is mostly focused to developers, agencies and similars.

And when Wix Studio is released all Editor X websites will be migrated to Wix Studio.

So for now you can use Editor X.

Ah… .okay, thats a good idea. So the studio features will be pushed into the Editor X platform (and just rebrand it I guess). Nice thinking, that’s what I’ll do.

Hello Amanda I had the same question! I am hoping once Wix Studio is 100% well 99.9% free from the Bata it will have a clean transition over to the new platform. I have a few old sites myself… There kind of historic actually… lol

Yeah, mine too. Archaeologists are digging around my sites they are so old.

I’ve tried to rebuild on editor x and it tells me it cant right now because of some system upgrade thing going on . Been like this for months

and it will continue to be so.

I tried the Upgrade editor option in the Site menu a few times, but a few days ago, I didn’t get an error. I see the sections … but there’s a lot of Editor X stuff … that I don’t see. Maybe that’ll come with time … i hope.
