I’m working with a client at the moment that will be using the events app but only for RSVP events. Any ticket events will be handled by an external system.
They will be paying for Wix Ascend. But I have been testing the events making sure it is all set up correctly and at the end of the confirmation email it says:
It will be a real shame if it doesn’t get removed, especially if they are paying to remove all other branding etc.
I know I can turn of that confirmation email inside the events app and then set up an automation, but that seems like a waste of an automation if this could simply be solved from the events app.
The message “This event was created using Wix.com. Try it out” is due to your site not having a Premium Plan associated with it. This will go away once the site is upgraded to a Premium subscription.
The message “Download the Wix app, get updates about the event and chat with other people going!” is not associated with Ascend or Premium Plan rather this is built into the Wix Events which is not possible to disable.
You can add and set up Wix Events on your site for free, but in order to sell tickets, you must upgrade your site to one of our Business Premium Plans.
I thought that was probably the case, and I will be upgrading the site to a premium plan when we have finished building it.
It seems a shame that if we are paying for the premium plan and for wix ascend then the message “Download the Wix app, get updates about the event and chat with other people going!” is still there.
A lot of people pay to remove everything associated with Wix and to have it in the confirmation email with no way of turning it off seems a shame. I will probably use an automation to change this, but seems like a little bit of a waste of an automation. Perhaps this could be changed to an on/off button where people can choose between having it and not (especially if they don’t use the Wix app)
@noahlovell If I’m not mistaken, you cannot disable the default confirmation email from Wix Events. Am I confusing it with one of the other similar apps?
