I have a member site with two member types (restaurants & food providers) both of which will mingle with each other if desired.

Question:
Should I have a separate for form for each member type? I am asking because a few of my input fields will be specific to the member type.

What are you trying to achieve:
one dynamic cms for all members.

What have you already tried:
Nothing yet. I’m just looking for feedback.

Additional information:
I will be using custom profile forms in lieu of the membership default form because it does not allow for dropdown fields.

You are talking about members.
How do they become members?
They do a registration before they get members right?
So directly on your registration page they could set the right member-type, which would directly and automatically change the form accordingly.

Need to assign role based on form submission for members already in the system.

The first one is located directly in your FIRST codeline of your frontend-code… Instead of this one… import wixUsersBackend from 'wix-users-backend'; You surely wanted to do this one… import {assignRole} from 'backend/roles.jsw'; You do not want to import wix-users-backend to your frontend! Sorry for delayed response and mega thx for responding. I decided to go with two separate cms’, created separate custom profile forms with codes to show the profile form based on their membership type.
