Wix needs a true staging site capability

There needs to be a way for a designer to work on templates for a site and then transfer those templates (pages, images, styles, etc.) to the live site without interrupting the business processes of the live site. (online forms, CRM, etc.)

Creating a duplicate of the site as a new instance, is great for testing and making sure the designer can work without fear of blowing something up on the live site, but there needs to be a better way to merge the new content, images templates, etc. into the currently live site instead of deactivating the live site - missing business communications, orders, registrations, etc. while the new replacement site is moved into place, reconnected and made live.

*** and no, I’m not talking about a “Release Candidate” ( https://support.wix.com/en/article/creating-a-release-candidate that is a completely different topic.

Second this. This is what’s holding me back from making the switch to development with Wix rather than Wordpress which obviously has all of this.

I agree

is there any updates on this? workflows how to do this? i am hired to redesign a website - but i dont want to work on the live site. how to do this - is there a step by step tutorial somewhere?

they pay for a premium. i was added as a collaborator on it. im new to wix, would prefer a wordpress too, but thats not an option.

please help, dont want to mess around with the current design than rather start from scratch. thanks!
