That’s three times in 24 hours I’ve had to defend Wix about their SEO performance.
I know this was an issue in the past but believe these are addressed and we certainly have several clients who rank first in very competitive searches.
Is there any sort of narrative we can/should be telling people when this sort of thing crops up? Any facts or figures about Wix site performance versus others?

Just wanted to share sth on this. According to one Wix agency breakfast forum. For digital agencies, " focusing on the local market" is a bigger oportunity for growth than “targeting the global market”
With this fact in check, i think local SEO plays a vital role. I just want to say that i have very well optimized my site with Wix SEO wiz and some advanced SEO techniques. Ranks well in my locality for keywords like " wix partner in … Website designer near me… Wix designer in … etc
I have started to value local SEO more. Cos come on , even if my site appears globally somewhere, a person in the other side of the world would definitely not choose my agency, over an agency located conveniently near him.

Thanks Sheyla. It’s the no1 reason people are put off by Wix so a bit more myth debunking (and helping us partners to help with that) would be useful.
If you are looking for some sort of statistics on how wix seo performs, i am not sure about that. However you could check/share reviews from the experts who compare top website building platforms. Most famous ones being websitetooltester.com, WebsiteBuilderExpert.com… they got good things to say about wix and it’s seo.
SEO is easy to perform with WiX in my opinion to quickly rank for local searches. If my clients question me about wix seo, i confidently tell them that i can bring their site to rank well for local searches in no time. Niche their business is, easier will be to rank their site for local searches. If they tell me they want to attract customers globally, then i tell them honestly that i cannot guarantee a good global market ranking but it is not impossible.
