I am trying to launch my new wellness company site and want to offer clients to 1) see my site with free content and 2) be able to sign up as a reoccuring member. I know this requires credintials and a dB. Is Wix able to do this kind of functionality?
Yes, this is possible. The only thing that is not possible in Wix Code would be to integrate payments with your database. Let´s say you put a field called “Membership valid thru” as a date in your DB (to decide whether or not to show more info than the free level), then there is currently no way to update that date automatically when you charge your members for a (next) period. You will have to do that manually.
You can select on member type (Visitor or Member) and show more or less content accordingly.
A couple of weeks ago there was a similar proposal from a Wix Website developer and I remember Wix wanted to get in touch with him to see what they could do because it sounded interesting to them. I do not know the status.
