Question: Does Wix Studio support database integration? (i.e. using Microsoft Access, MySQL, etc.)

Product: Wix Studio (or Wix Classic if required)

What are you trying to achieve?

Would like website visitors to have the ability to enter in a name on one of my pages, and then be presented with information specific to that name (which I have entered into several fields in on a pre-populated database).

This is not the exact data or use case, but an example would be someone entering a country name in a field on a page in my website and then being presented with 10 items unique/specific to that country. For example, they would enter “United States” in country field and then Capitol: Washington D.C., Language: Various, Cuisine: Pizza and French Fries, National Bird: Bald Eagle, etc. would then populate on that same page in pre-designated fields.

What have you already tried: Basic research has been inconclusive.

Additional Information (Questions):

  1. If Wix Studio does not support this functionality, does Wix Classic?

  2. Between Wix Studio and Wix Classic, which has better support/integration with internal or external databases?

  3. If neither Wix Studio nor Wix Classic support external database integration, do they have internal databases that I could populate with my dataset and then use as mentioned above?

  4. Are there any other solutions or best practice examples of this functionality?

The general question is does Wix support internal or external Databases. The answer is yes.

Look up Velo.

If you are new to coding on Wix I recommend looking through YouTube for those topics. There are tons of tutorial videos from the community showing examples of what things can be done with Velo.
