Question:
The navigation menu on WIX studio 2025 (which required a manual ‘update’ - March 2025) is now not showing the nested sub-menu items on hover / in the menu editor / on the published site. It is almost as if they are hidden within the header 'section.
Moving the menu out of the header and into the main body, they show up again. I’ve tried replacing the default header, making a copy – still the issue persists. So the menu object itself is working.
Anyone else experiencing some issues with the ‘manual update’ of the navigation menus?

FIX // Work around : Basically recreate the header as a section, remove from global, delete it. And reassign the new header as “default”… frustratingly then have to manually add it to every page. But it seems to work now.
Not sure what the bug was, I previously had a stretched container within the header, that may have messed with the layer order of things, despite it being deleted / removed since.
But I’m not experiencing the issue now that I’ve re-made it/replaced it…
If you notice this continuing to happen on other sites that you update menus on, it’s worth reporting it as a potential bug following the steps outlined here - Wix Studio - How to report a bug
The thing that comes to mind is the layers order changed when the update happened. I’d have recommended going through the header and choosing “Bring to front” as well as the menu, and items within.

I had same issue after updating the menu. Reach out to support, they said it was the cookie banner. Which it was not. Escalated to the next level of support, got a rep who helped by creating a new page, before that support . I restored a previous version, with same issue. Ending up creating a new page and copying the old home page content into the new page and making it the new home page, then copying a menu from a page that worked to the home page..I still am getting the message to update menu. Not going to update the menu, do not want to go through that again.
