I am currently working on building a new Restaurant Page and I’m trying to decide whether it would be better to wait for Wix Studio support for Wix Restaurants or build the site using Wix Editor.
At the moment, there is no support for Wix Restaurants in Wix Studio, so I am considering using Wix Editor instead. While the X editor has some additional features, it does come at a slightly higher cost for customers.
I find it a bit confusing that Wix offers three different editors with their own limitations based on features and price. It would be more convenient if there was only one editor where all resources were focused.
This confusion also extends to my customers who struggle to determine which plan they should choose. They often require assistance in selecting the right plan due to the multitude of options available.
Although manually coding in Wix Editor may not be as convenient as in Wix Studio,
I do appreciate that customers can easily edit and maintain website content themselves once it is made available.
After testing out Wix Studio for a day, I discovered that certain essential tools like Wix Restaurants are not supported. This limitation is disappointing when considering its potential usefulness for restaurant owners.
I urge dear Wix team to prioritize thinking about end customers or users’ needs.
As an easy tool designed specifically for non-coders like restaurant owners, simplicity should be prioritized.
It’s unfortunate that the connection or app integration with “OpenTable” reservation tool is no longer supported, limiting the use of “Wix Reservation” app. Open table is the most used reservation app in Germany.
Restaurant owners have specific requirements such as publishing news updates regularly and managing menus and food delivery services. Meeting these needs brings them satisfaction and convenience.
The advantages offered by Wix include providing websites with minimal effort while offering modern management tools to customers. This sets them apart from other website creation tools or CMS platforms.
However, if creating a website requires similar effort compared to setting up a CMS and providing a template, I fail to see the advantage.
