Is anyone else having this issue? I have a problem where as the screen width reduces words that would happily fit on the next line are breaking in half…
There is no option to control hyphenation that I can find in Editor X, nor is the editor adding a hyphen.
The words shouldn’t text-wrap letter by letter and should be doing it word by word. I would recommend to delete the text box as it could be corrupted and replace it with a new one.
Let us know if it doesn’t work or report a bug if you are still having this issue.
I’m getting the same issue. I’ve deleted and recreated the text box and it’s wrapping the second word letter by letter, not word by word. Editor X, Title Box, in a grid cell, 100% width, Max width 700px wide, font size scaling 30px - 110px, Right Aligned. The workaround is to reduce the maximum font size within each breakpoint until they no longer split this way. Essentially not using really large letters even though they are decorative in an opening banner. It’s a shame, but this bug appears to be persisting.
This was absolutely doing my head in as well, until I realised that it was the was the way I was pasting in copy from either my google doc or figma file.
If I ctrl+v it would wrap the text letter by letter.
If I paste with shift+ctrl+v it wraps word by word.
I’m not sure whether the second option removes the previous formatting from the copy as it pastes in, but it seems to work for me every time.
I have been experiencing the same problem since yesterday. Words are being truncated even when I copy and paste from the basic Windows NOTEPAD, which has pretty no formatting. Big problem shift+ctrl+v is not working for me
Edit: mhhh…it seems to be working for the body but not for the titles… Well, fortunately, the titles are never too long, so I can write them by hand
Edit2: Anyway, guys, I worked with the editor all night and noticed some remarkable improvements! From the text within stacks (which now automatically adjusts to the width of the stacks) to adding elements within stacks. Everything seems to be working better! Thank you for these improvements!
I faced this problem in Studio about 3 months ago, it happens to all of the websites I work with, shift+ctrl+V doesn’t help. To fix it I have to rewrite words/sentences or paste them into the notepad.txt to remove the formatting and only then to Wix (works, but not always). It takes so much time…
