What are you trying to achieve:
We want to be able to use the mailserver from our hoster.
What have you already tried:
we changed the domain via DNS. The changeover worked and took a good 48 hours.
Now we noticed that our emails were no longer being delivered. We want the website to be with Wix and the emails to continue to run with the old provider.
Additional information:
no more emails will be delivered. This is a big problem and we urgently need help from Wix, but as premium customers we can’t find a support contact. Is this the way the customer solve their problems here?
Here’s how to manage MX records in Wix (though contacting Wix support might be best due to the urgency):
Changing MX Records in Wix (if comfortable):
Log in to your Wix account.
Go to the “Domains” section.
Click the “More Actions” icon next to the relevant domain.
Select “Edit MX Records” (or “Connect an email purchased outside Wix” if the option exists).
There are two scenarios:
Wix Dropdown List: If Wix offers a dropdown list of email providers, choose your current email host from the list. Wix should automatically populate the correct MX records.
Custom MX Records: If there’s no list or you use a different provider, select “Other” and enter the MX records provided by your email hoster. You’ll need to enter details like hostname and server address.
Important Note:
Modifying MX records can affect your email delivery. Ensure you have the correct MX records from your email host.
Wix Support: Since you’re a premium customer, it’s crucial to reach Wix support for faster assistance. Here are some options:
Check your Wix dashboard for a dedicated support link for premium users.
Search for “Wix Premium Support Contact” online.
Try social media platforms like Twitter and reach out to Wix support there.
Additional Tips:
While you wait for Wix support, consider forwarding your emails from your Wix domain to your existing email address as a temporary solution.
Explain the urgency of the situation to Wix support when you reach them.
Hopefully, you can regain control of your MX records and get your emails flowing again.

After reading all manuals and documentations i decided to connect the domain via pointing forwarding.
I don’t really understand the differences between NS record connections benefit and pointing forwarding and we decided not to host the domain at wix when we dont have any support.
we want to keep the domain and mails at our old hosting provider because it feeld more secure.
So now i habe disconnect the connection. The website is not available and that is very sad because our running business is not working without a website.
I can not find any possibility to connect the support from wix. i have checked all the settings and i just land at the chatbot and the documentations and manuals. It is really sad to hear that i have to go twitter and try to find someone who will provide me some informations from wix.
