Anchors on desktop and mobile menu

Hi, I am working on a website, that will be completed soon and upgraded to a premium site.
My anchors are set on section parts.

  1. It is a single page site with anchors . When I click an anchor in the regular menu, it scrolls to the anchor, and the fixed header partially hides the text in the anchor point . I’ve read about the solution of using a transparent line as an anchor. I can do that, but I wonder if the problem is caused because the site is now free and has the (created by editorx) banner. So when purchasing the pro - everything will shift to the right place.
  2. Highlighting the current anchor on the menu.
In previous regular Wix sites, scrolling to an anchor (either manually or from the menu) - used to highlight the menu item (that’s linked to that item). I have several sites that work that way.
But on this EditorX site, it works a bit strange:
On the desktop - doesn’t work. (regular menu)
Mobile / tablet (in portrait mode) it doesn’t work. (both are hamburger menus)
But on my ipad (landscape mode) it does work. (touch device - regular menu)

Does anyone have a solution for that?
Gidon

Can you share a URL for us to reference your work, please?

Hi @teejay , this is the URL:
https://office98733.editorx.io/nev5
it’s still WIP and hopefully will be completed really soon and upgraded to PRO.

this is what happens when you click the invest in the menu.
And As I said, the highlighted menu item does not work at all (connected to anchors).
Thanks.

Hey Gidon,
First thing first - the website looks really good! Great job!
As for offsetting the anchor, you’re right that removing the banner will help mitigate this behavior.

However, since the header is floating over the other sections (fixed scroll effect) it might still cover a part of the section.
I suggest using the “invisible line” trick to precisely control the location of the anchor point.

I’ll add this to case our product team’s feature requests log so we’ll be able to try and provide a designated solution in the future.

I’ll also consult with our dev team to check about the highlighting issue.

Cheers,
Guy

@guyd
Thanks Guy.
I’ve already spoken with your support about those issues and I think they opened a ticket regarding the highlight issue.
Hope to show off this site in a few weeks.
Cheers,
Gidon
