Best way to integrate YouTube videos in Wix Studio without slowing down site performance?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a Wix Studio project where I need to embed multiple YouTube videos across different pages (mostly tutorials and product demos). While the built-in embed options are easy to use, I’m a bit concerned about page speed and overall performance—especially on mobile.

I’m wondering how you guys usually handle this. Do you stick with the default YouTube embed, or are there better approaches like lazy loading, custom thumbnails, or third-party solutions?

Also, has anyone tried using YouTube API integrations within Wix Studio for more control over things like playlists or dynamic content?

For single video embeds, there is no need to worry about the loadspeed, Wix will manage it without 3rd party bridges, as the host of your videos is still YouTube itself.

To embed playlists, channels, etc you can use YouTube gallery apps by Elfsight, SociableKit, Common Ninja, and other common apps. They also give you more control without dealing with coding and other complex stuff. So, in terms of control you can use those even for single video embeds.
Such apps usually maintain a decent level of your page speed, so there is nothing to worry again too.
