We’re happy to announce that Editor X is now a fully collaborative website creation platform.
As creators, you will now be able to work side by side in the editor to create sites together in real time! Every teammate or site collaborator can edit the layout, design, and page content or elements without overriding anyone else’s actions.
Changes made by other creators appear instantly inside the editor to minimize conflict. Concurrent editing transforms the way agencies and design teams work together to scale up their work and bring every creation to production smoothly and efficiently.
Whenever multiple users enter the same Editor X site they will automatically experience collaborative editing.
You can invite site collaborators to work together with you on a site. Go to your Site Dashboard → Settings → Roles & Permissions or from inside the editor: Site → Invite People to Site
You can also set up a team and add teammates to give everyone access to all sites in your account. Go to the Partner Dashboard → Settings → Team Management
Note: You can create custom roles for each teammate and collaborator with new, granular Editor X permissions.
Hey Brett, I’m hoping to use it though it hasn’t shown up on the sites I’m working on currently. I could definitely use it on the site Wachtelhund (wachtelhund.info). @naamar , would this be possible?
@info18491 hi, it’s already opened for Beta Partners. Have you tried to enter the site together with a site contributor or a member of your team. You’re supposed to see who ever is in the site on the top right hand side avatars. If you open Help → Tours → Concurrent Editing then you will see the a description of the top features.
Hey sorry this was actually in response to Randy. Don’t know why it didn’t link to the thread . I was referring to wanting to see this feature in the classic editor
