Goooood Morning!
Suggestion for the Beta “custom buttons” when I decided to create a custom button I found that is very dificult for example to add an arrow and change it direction for example or the color of the icon. someone can guide me on this, there is a way to do this?
@sales I’d love to try and help, can you guide me in more detail on what you are trying to do and not succeeding? Some of the functionality you described (change direction) is not a part of this button, but some (changing color) should work for you.
Hi guys. It could be nice if it was possible to hide icon when regular and show icon when hover and vice versa . This feature was available for a couple of days ago but now it is not possible.
@arnonk I’d say leave it as is. #1. I’d say make this functionality a top priority as placing icons with the proper verb is a big help
Hi,
you can see my new test Buttons here: https://www.naimibaby.com/buttontest
i make just picture buttons
i it was really nice if i was adding PNG file without background the shadow was on the image and not on the border
then we can create great button image

We’ve disabled it because we cannot easily allow you to make the transition between the two states smooth. Once we add CSS animations / transitions capabilities to the panel (not in the next couple of months, but on our roadmap), we will re-enable this capability.

I’m using the beta buttons on my website: www.jessrightdesign.com
They seem to work excellent for me. The only issue are some bugs with the number system and it’s impossible to change the direction and color of existing wix icons. I am also hoping that we will be able to “copy” one side of the button to the hover side when these are out of beta so that it’s less time consuming.
Any word on when these buttons will be released? I may have been a little too excited & mentioned this update prematurely to a few clients
@arnonk , we’re currently using them for a large design for two designs on this homepage - https://adtelligentdev.wixsite.com/gateway . Once in the “How Can We Serve You” section, and once more in the “For Our Members” Section, for the keys
We need the Wix API for it though! It’s vital.
@arnonk Looking forward to it daily !
@arnonk Thanks Arnon
I experience some issues with the regular button. It works in the Editor preview but acting oddly in published site.
The background is supposed to be white but on published site it is black.
How it should look
How it actually looks

@jessrightdesign we don’t have a final date yet, and we don’t want to create the wrong expectations. We’re trying to make it as soon as possible.
The ability to “copy” between states is one of the things we intend to include in the production version, and it will be rolled out gradually during the beta as we near production.
@magnusgravenhorst thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The good news: we’ve identified a problem with the first (top left) preset in our add panel that makes it behave badly in the viewer. when using colors from the 25-colors site theme.
We’re already starting to roll-out a fix for it.
The bad news: buttons that were made before the fix will not be fixed (this is part of the reason we’re still in Beta) and need to be replaced.
Since I am not 100% the fix has reached you yet, I suggest using a different preset, and not the first one.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
@naimibaby there’s a way to do this via CSS ( CSS filter - drop-shadow ) - but it’s not perfect (in your case it would not work since the images are rectangular and not cut to shape), and even worse it’s not fully supported across all browsers (Edge has partial support, IE11 doesn’t support this at all, etc).
The good news is that CSS filters are on our roadmap, and will be available through this panel at some point (no promise of when yet).
@arnonk , i am finding the new panel quite slow at editing. Seems clunky and not a nice real time experience. It’s hard to explain. But i hope you know what i mean.
All the time - or just some of the time?
All the time, and i’m on a powerful MacBook - tried all browsers. No luck.
@roberthamilton and anyone else who may be experiencing clunkiness or slowness using the panel: we’d really like to help and address any performance issues. We want our panel to be fun to design with, and slowness is not fun.
If you or anyone experiencing these issues could go into a bit more details on where this is happening? What site you are editing? What flows or controllers are problematic?
If you can maybe also share videos showing the slowness, that would be extremely helpful.
Good afternoon. Finally got to try the new button. Everything’s fine. I will wait for launch for clients.
