Firstly, there have been efforts to reduce the code on the page. For example, we are working on only serving the JS that aligns with the specific features on the page. This has already been implemented on certain page types.
That said, and I can’t state this with any more clarity than this, code to text ratios have absolutely no impact on your rankings. It is not a signal that Google uses.
