Change Wix Video Aspect Ratio

Videos uploaded to ‘Wix Video’ only display in a 16:9 ratio, so any other aspect ratios automatically get added letterboxes, even when the uploaded file is a different size.

The selected video doesn’t natively show those black bars. This issue doesn’t occur when simply adding as a standalone video, only in ‘Wix Video’ dress this happen.

Wix, please allow native display of video in your players!

We, too, would like to be able to change the aspect ratio of the video players to fit our vertical videos.
